This time I used the Tonic Studios Border Punch System and the Butterflies Accent Punch for the border. The border punch system makes it so easy to line up the punch to get a straight line. The punches are usually spaced a little farther apart, but instead of lining it up with the guides, I just started in the center of the paper and lined up the center of the center butterfly (it punches 3 butterflies at a time) with the edge of the punch itself to get them closer together.
The big butterfly is also a Tonic Studios punch, the Butterfly Multi Detail Punch. It’s amazing how well these punches work, even on thicker cardstock. I have another brand of butterfly punch that has a very similar design, but it rarely punches cleanly. These work perfectly every time. The pink paper is from Papertrey and it’s really thick, but I had not trouble at all with the punch.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and it is stamped on a Nestabilities die cut. It’s difficult to see in the photo, but there is the same yellow polka dot paper behind the butterfly border, and I just added a small strip of the same paper above the border.
Thanks for stopping by and why not hop over and have a look at the Tonic Studios Facebook page – there are a lot of beautiful cards in the albums there, too.
